Denmark (DGA) licensed casinos.
In Denmark for a long time there was a monopoly on all gambling, but the current legislation has changed the approach, making it fairer to those wishing to register a company as a gambling establishment and obtain a gambling license in Denmark. The modern Danish Gaming Authority is an independent government body operating under the auspices of the Danish Ministry of Taxation. The regulator is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the gambling market (Denmark (DGA) licensed casinos), in accordance with the Gambling Law No. 848, and other regulations, and also issues licenses and collects payments.
The applicant must:
- Be of legal age (over 21 years old).
- Have no guardians.
- Not be subject to insolvency proceedings.
- Have no criminal record that may cast doubt on the integrity of the applicant’s intentions.
- Have no debts to the state.
- Reside in Denmark, or appoint a local representative (you can have a legal entity established in Denmark).
Registration of a gambling company must be carried out in Denmark, or in the EU/EEA countries, or have a representative in Denmark. It is worth noting that a physical representative in Denmark must meet all the above requirements. In addition, the applicant must convince the regulator that it has sufficient material resources and knowledge to ensure the functioning of the business. The assessment is carried out by the Office based on the study of a large number of financial and technical documents, and the more, the better.
In the end, the regulator issues a full (or conditional) gambling license or rejects the application. If the quantity or quality of documentation does not satisfy the regulator, it gives the opportunity to correct the situation and supplement the package, and only then rejects the application.
